Established in 1964, Stackallen Rathkenny Musical Society, in short Rathkenny Revels, is a local voluntary light entertainment group.
We stage our annual production in a highly professional way each year usually in February/March.
2016 we are performing on the stage of TLT Drogheda.

The week end of November 27th. 28th. 29th. our Society celebrated Christmas early in a response to a request to help with the Love Lilly Campaign. This all took place in the local Hall of Rathkenny the adopted home of the Rathkenny Revels Musical Society.
As most of us now know Lilly is a young local girl from Stackallen who has under gone an operation in the UK to help her fight infection. She is recuperating in hospital in England and is expected to be there for a number of months more. Lilly is responding to the treatment well. (See www.Lovelilly.ie) Her brother Harry is being minded by his granny and other family members back here in Ireland, but he hopes to be able to spend this Christmas with his sister Lilly in the UK.
As with any production or event expenses will be incurred. Most people involved gave their time and expertise freely and with great generosity and compassion. And we are delighted to say that we were able to give a figure of €2,500.00 to this campaign which is much appreciated by the Trust.
This week end of entertainment involved a lot of people, not just on stage, but behind the scenes. Many members of the local community was involved and between all of us we made it a success.
We are particularly proud of the fact that we had residents from six local nursing homes come and join us on the Sunday afternoon. This was a new endeavour for us but because of the hard work, awareness, and understanding of all involved these residents with their staff had a wonderful time. A time to remember for all the right reasons.
To all involved in our Christmas production we say THANK YOU SO MUCH. In appreciation we invite all who were involved in anyway in this production to come along to Stackallen Tennis Club for a thank you party on Friday 15th January at 9p.m.
We have just started to put ideas together for our Spring production which will take place in the TLT Drogheda April 22nd 23rd. 24th. This show promises to have some very special items for a memorable week end of entertainment for all ages. We will have the usual mix of song dance and comedy and this year we are doing a piece on the 1916 Rising will will include some of our cast from our 2015 Christmas production. Also we are calling on Revels LADIES from down the years to be part of a very special Choral Piece being directed and produced by Tina Price Lynch.
